Because of it's texture and taste, jackfruit has become my main replacement for meat. I use it for making soups and shredded barbecue sandwiches, as a replacement for chicken in certain dishes and one of my sons loves it in his tacos. Some of the benefits of jackfruit are that it helps build muscle, prevents anemia, is good for your skin, eyes and hair, and contains many other wonderful nutrients that can help people with diabetes. Try it when you get the chance. There are so many things you can do with it.
