I'm one of the fortunate people who grew around music, from hearing it on the radio at home to singing songs with my family. Music will always be a part of my existence. We recently bought guitars and a keyboard for the boys to practice and play on. I've always found music to be mentally, emotionally, spiritually and physically healing when dealing with different aspects of life. In fact, some scientifically-proven benefits of music are: lowers stress, reduces depression enhances running performance, helps you sleep better, elevates mood, strengthens learning and memory, reduces pain and relaxes hospital patients (before and after surgery). Music does more for our bodies and minds than we could ever realize, so it can not be underestimated.
